Adult CPR & AED 

Learn to respond appropriately to life threatening emergencies such as Cardiac & Respiratory Arrest, Airway Problems, and how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). 

Curriculum Includes: 

  • Checking for signs of Life and Pulse 
  • Activating Emergency Services 
  • CPR Protocols including proper compressions and breaths 
  • Rescue Breathing 
  • Opening an Airway, and other airway procedures 
  • Recognizing the signs & symptoms of a Heart Attack 
  • Use of AED 
  • Complications, Realities, and Special Situations 

Basic First Aid 

Learn how to evaluate patients using the patient assessment while learning basic treatments for injured and/or sick people. Understand the difference of Urban & Wilderness Medicine. 

Curriculum Includes

  • Patient Assessment System 
  • Scene Size Up, Initial Assessment, Patient Exam, Vital Signs & Patient 
  • History 
  • Bleeding Control & Shock 
  • Musculoskeletal Injuries 
  • Spinal Cord Injuries 
  • Medical Emergencies Stroke, Asthma, Diabetes, Seizures, Allergic Reactions 
  • Basic Documentation 
  • Overview Of First Aid Kits and higher level training 

*Both the CPR & First Aid Curriculum is Certifies through The ECSI (Emergency Care & Safety Institute) and certification is valid for two years from the class date
