Crested Butte is one of the birthplaces of mountain biking and is home to some of the best singletrack trails Colorado has to offer. There are more than 450 miles of high alpine mountain bike trails, which means Crested Butte has something for everyone – whether you’re brand new to mountain biking or an experienced rider looking to challenge yourself and hone your skills with one of our trained mountain bike instructors. The town of Crested Butte sits at 9,000′ allowing for accessible rides through unmatched mountain scenery. We also offer overnight car-camping and mountain biking trips around the Crested Butte area. You’ll get to sample a variety of the great biking available and our staff will manage the logistics of moving camp each day to get you riding in a new area.

Women’s Mountain Bike Clinic
Mountain Bike season is here! Let’s get rolling with an all Women’s Mountain Bike Clinic based in Crested Butte. Irwin Guides is excited to host a progressive clinic in two day increments throughout this summer. Beginning in June, we will focus on basic bike handling skills on our local single track. In July we will explore wildflower vistas & push into intermediate trails to continue building on knowledge gained in the previous clinic. In August we will begin to wrap up our sessions & put our foundational skills to work by riding more advanced trails. This progressive clinic is focused on supporting Women in outdoor spaces to become confident riders. Bring your bike, bring your friends, and get excited for a season of summer riding!
We encourage you to sign up for all the sessions to get the most out of this progressive clinic. If you’re interested in specific skills or can only commit to certain dates it is possible to sign up for each individually. Please call our office if you’re interested in signing up for more than one clinic & we will apply a 15% discount.

What to Bring
Bike rentals are available from our local bike shops: The Alpineer, Big Als, Elevate Bike Rental, Peak Sports, and Crested Butte Sports. We suggest bringing a backpack, food, water, layers (rain jacket), and stiff closed toe shoes
