Crested Butte is a mecca for mountain biking

Crested Butte is one of the birthplaces of mountain biking and is home to some of the best singletrack trails Colorado has to offer. There are more than 450 miles of high alpine mountain bike trails, which means Crested Butte has something for everyone – whether you’re brand new to mountain biking or an experienced rider looking to challenge yourself and hone your skills with one of our trained mountain bike instructors.  The town of Crested Butte sits at 9,000′ allowing for accessible rides through unmatched mountain scenery.

Bike rentals are available from our local bike shops: The Alpineer, Big Als, Elevate Bike Rental, Peak Sports, and Crested Butte Sports. We suggest bringing a backpack, food, water, layers (rain jacket), and stiff closed toe shoes
